We have had our Outback for two weeks now and I want to take a few minutes to talk about our experience with Gemini and in particular with our sales agent Brian Mullins.
Like most people, my wife and I have interacted with many sales people over the years through major purchases like houses, cars, and appliances. It can often be stressful, and for good reason.
First we are very happy to say that seldom has a purchase experience been so smooth and enjoyable as it has been with Brian -and it’s not like we showed up one afternoon and walked out with a car two hours later – no quite the opposite. Over a period of 4 months we came for 3 test drives (the last one included a full passenger load and 300lbs of water softening salt!) and exchanged approximately100 emails/chats. Each and every time Brian was keenly attentive, knowledgeable, and always timely in his electronic responses. I only learned later that some of these correspondences were on his days off.
Secondly I am grateful that Debbie took the initiative at the last minute to solve a potential inconvenience with my trailer hitch installation and honored a fair price.

My Experience with Subaru was Outstanding!
Prior to my purchase with Subaru I owned a minivan (yuck!). It died suddenly, and left us with no car and we are a two car family, like most, going in two different directions all the time. So we needed a car immediately. Right off the bat we liked Brian’s approach, he’s laid back, makes you feel comfortable. He really listened to what we wanted (which to me is an essential quality in a sales person). Brian let us test drive the car on our own. Which allowed us to talk about the car and touch all the buttons and really investigate the car. When you have a sales person over top of you, you don’t feel really comfortable. When it came down to our final decision (we were comparing two final cars) we came back to the dealership to test out the car a second time to make sure that it was “the one”, the dealership was technically closed but Brian stayed late and allowed us to take out the car for a second time.
I really like the short term lease, 3 years 3 months, it gives us a lot of flexibility. I found the “other dealership” we were working with kept saying no, where Subaru really never said no, they worked with us and said let’s see what we can do!
When we came in to make the final deal, Brian again was there, introduced us to Debbie. Debbie was extremely professional and made us feel comfortable. She is a very competent person and it shows! Everything for the lease was organized. Everything we agreed on with Brian was in place, no mistakes. They arranged to get our windows tinted and winter tires on the car. Brian promised the car on a Friday and they actually had it ready early, on Wednesday, which was awesome because we were really struggling with one car.
When we picked up the car it was impeccably clean and again Brian was there to pass on the car. I love my Impreza, it’s a fast zippy little car. The styling is sporty and hip – doesn’t make me feel like a mom with 2 kids (you ladies know what I mean)! I have recieved many compliments on the car and it really does handle well!
Plainly Subaru “Did what they said they would do”, in fact they exceeded my expectations at every point! I have been in the Customer Service Business for my entire career so service matters to me! Brian & Debbie really looked after us well, they make a great team! This is our first experience with Subaru and we will be back!
